Mastercraft CXT tire review

Need new shoes? This is the place to discuss.

Hello all I just wanted to give some feedback on the new set of tires I put on my Envoy. I went with a set of 255/80r17. They are e rated and have a 19/32 tread depth. They are described as a hybrid tire (mix between all and mud terrain). So far I have about 1300 miles on them and one trail ride. They are quiet and smooth on the road. On the trail they were good on the rocks, trucked right through the mud and showed no signs of chunking or damage. I got mine for about 200 each shipped. Mastercraft is owned by copper tire and made in the USA. The cxt is relatively new but they have been great so far. We will see how many miles I get put of them. Much better than my old KM BFG.

Is that the Roadiemobile!? Looks a lot like his old Envoy used to.

I've had good luck with my Mastercraft MXT tires, but I've considered the merits of an AT lately. The CXT sounds like a good compromise.

It does look like the ole roadiemobile.

I was quite surprised how quiet they are. They also have deep sipes and have done well on wet roads. We have had a ton of rain lately. Definitely a quiet tire now. Only time will tell if they get louder. I was surprised they did so well in the mud out on the trail. They cleared pretty easy.

Nice to know that there's another hybrid tire that we can consider aside from Duratrac and Trail Grappler.
