Hello OFFROAD TB, this is the first thread that I have started. I recently purchased a 2 inch lift from a fellow member here, and I'm looking forward to joining the elevated crowd. Being more of a budget build, I am going to be keeping the factory wheels (18's) partially because of cost, the other factor is that I really like the look of a lifted vehicle on factory wheels. As you can see with my last build.

After researching, I am a little confused on tire fitment, and would love to pick a few of your brains. A 30 inch tire fits with no lift, but apparently only a 31 fits with 2 inches of lift? If my figuring is correct, a 32 should fit with 2 inches since it only adds an additional inch on each side of the tire. If am correct in this thought process, I am looking at purchasing 275/70/18's and 1.5 inch spacers.

It should be noted, that the largest amount of "off-roading" this vehicle will see is the curb that I cross to pull into my driveway. I know that flex plays a factor in tire size, but if it fits on the ground, I shouldn't rub otherwise.

Should I be alright with these tires? Or will I run into issues with the width of them?? Thanks or all the help, looking forward to being an active member here! :flex dirty:

With 2" lift and marks spacers I ran 255/75/17's and only had issue with backin up while turning... A quick use of the sawzall and it never rubbed again lol

Unsure which tire you are planning to run but the math on that 275/70/18 runs out to just over 33. I think some guys have run a 285/75/16 with a 3" lift, not sure if you can run it on 2" or not. You have to allow for the increase in width as well as height.
As far as the lift chart, I think you can run a 265/75/16(32)with no lift but the focus of this site is for the off road crowd. While it will likely fit, I'm not sure you can wheel a 32" tire without a lift. My 32s scrubbed fender liner with the 2" lift in the parking lot until I trimmed it.

Cool, thanks for the info. I think I 'm going to look at a set of 285/60/18 Nitto Terra Grapplers now. There are a couple lightly used sets for sale around here that I can pick up for a decent price.

I'll keep you guys posted.

If you aren't going to offroad, you likely don't need load range E tires.

My issue is I don't want street tires, I need something that can get me through snow when we get it and into a field to shoot in. But not actual off-road conditions. Just sloppy mud, ruts are already dug in.

Most offroad tread patterns come in a load C for normal use or a load E which has heavier/stiffer sidewalls which are good for heavy towing or better puncture resistance when off road.
