Has anyone had any issues with keeping there spare tire mounted underneath their trailblazer while going off road. Keep in mind I won't be doing anything too serious. Mainly just trails and grass with some mud.

I don't think it's a problem at all. I'm not yet lifted, and I've kept my tire under there going on some trails that I probably should have waited to get a lift before I went on, and I've still never smacked it good enough to even be concerned. the rear sway bar acts as a sort of "guard" to protect it too. unless you're getting serious with your trails, you'll be fine.

When you get up to 33" tires you'll find it doesn't fit under there anymore. I built a carrier for the hitch.

I have a 1/2 worn 265/75/16 under mine. I had to guide it in place as I cranked it up there but it fits pretty well. I'm not sure a new one would fit under there though.

As far as it getting in the way, that depends on what you are doing. I would say run it there until you have a reason to move it. As far as the rear sway bar being a "protector" it is really more of a land anchor to get hung on stumps and such. It all depends on where you are wheeling.

Neither have really affected me but most of my offroading is beating around in the woods and on the beach.

Ditch the rear sway bar.
