It sounds like he was just trying to find the max limits of traction for his tires. Glad to hear your tires are making you happy Nick.

I was comparing old to new. The old tires were worn a good amount past the wear bars, the rain we got was pretty slick and in some places an inch deep. It honestly felt like I was on the edge of hydroplaning 100% of the time I was driving in the rain as I had to fight the steering wheel to keep it straight.

Yeah I know, but when your spending damn near 200 bucks per week for gas alone you try and squeak every last bit out of what you got.

Oh man, 80 bucks a week would be nice, I have never seen gas for a week for me below that. I have always driven V8s or suvs and have also never had as light of a foot as I do now

I have a 15 mile commute to work each way, plus drive another 50 miles or so on weekends minimal and spend under 40 a week.

How much is your fuel there? Or are you getting really bad mpg?

I get 14 city and 16 hwy and am paying 2.50-2.65 on average for fuel.
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.

The last couple weekends going down to wharton doesn't help. If thats all the driving he's doing he's got issues. I get an average of a bit over 14, like 14.6 to 15 with half and half hw/cty driving.

You cannot be serious...

6.8 miles x 4 days x 2 per day = 54.4 miles per week

$80 / $2.75 per gallon average = 29 gallons

54.4 / 29 = 1.87 miles per gallon

Brendan is definately doing more driving then that... and i think its pretty much impossible to get that kind of mpg's in our trucks.

Not if he's got a leak in his gas tank or a crazy neighbor. He may need to just rework his math. :coffee:

Nah, i think he just needs to figure out how many miles he's driving daily and but his bumper cover back on. Plus he needs a fluids change.

If your original gas mileage was 30MPG and the current one is 1.87, you should invest in a locking gas cap.
This is an aggressive post. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to be able to appreciate a post of this quality and depth.

I reset my trip on last fillup before this storm hit. I filled up at approx 1:30pm on sat and have driven 38miles, mostly city, some highway. Rpm havnt been over 2300, highway over 60mph, accept for 3 parkinglot dounuts. So far, i have consumed 5 gallons (1/4 tank) of gas. 4wd was used for .6miles

Any gas smell around your car? With those numbers, you're either leaking gas, or you're running rich enough to melt your catalytic converter and light your exhaust on fire. That is a major issue, and you should check that immediately. How are you able to calculate your consumed gas?
