Has anyone used this wheel before?
Pros/cons
Its a spare from some of our TB's
same width etc. Is it to light duty? Is it a spare for a reason? Stay away from this Idea? It's all good, go for it?
What do you fellas think
I have not seen it on anyones Builds.
And am unable to locate a discussion in wheels and Tires

I've never seen a spare like that before.
If I remember right there was a member here that ran 4 spare rims for that black steely look.

Small pic, but I like it. I'd prob run it.

I've actually recently considered running some black steelies equiavlent to our spare tires. The benefit of steel is that they don't crack and shatter as easily and instead just bend.

This is an aluminum full size 16x7 spare that was used on some 02-03 units. They are cheap on ebay have a good look to them. If i was going to be wheeling more aggressively I would probably go with the steel. But just being a random offroader. Ya gotta look good at the mall ya know.

I figured being considered a mall build still. I mine as well play the part.
But The last time I was close to a mall was to kick the kids out and head for the local bar to catch the game and make sure the beer was properly chilled.

As for the wheels, I am interested for a second set for a spacer and larger tire set up for the non everyday driving adventures. Like Silver Lake, Bundy Hill etc.

Since our spare tires are full size, they aren't donuts rated for reduced speed or use. So the wheel should be fine for full time use. They just use it because its a lower visual quality than the premium cast wheels that come from the factory.

I am very surprised no one uses them I hooked up with a buddy that runs a large bone yard in my area and he had one. Its a nice black smooth powdercoated wheel.
Trail- Thanks for the input
off to find 4 more and figure out what tire will suit me best in the situations I will find myself. I love what I run daily but for wheeling would prefer something a little beefer.

I'm looking at my spare wheel sitting in the back of my truck, that I'm about to go throw in the bead blaster, and wondering, did you ever follow through with this?

I already ordered 17" tires, but I'm thinking these may be viable. I found a bunch on car-part for like 30 bucks.
