Need new shoes? This is the place to discuss.

Not to bring up an old discussion. But just is case it hasn't been answered..... I did have to cut for the 33s. They hit at the bottom of the front bumper under full lock and compression and I trimmed about 6" of the inner linings front and rear. I also modified the rocker mounting tab by flipping it 90deg, cutting the rocker itself, and making a new hole for the bolt. I'm sure I'd have to cut more under extreme flex, but they were fine like that for everyday driving and moderate trail usage.

Cause this guy cut when he had the Firestones on. Although they wree the same size, tread width was wider and more aggressive. :slap:

I'm working on it. Trying not to settle for any more worn out sets. I'll wait for new if I need to.

Every vehicle is slightly different. Start with 1/2" then drive around turning lock to lock and see if it rubs. Cut more if it does. Then go out and compress the suspension while turned each way. Cut more. Lather, rinse, repeat.

You will also be bashing in the metal flange that mounts the plastic rocker panel cover at the rear of the front wheel well, and cutting away part of the wheel well liner. You'll see when you start driving around.

Buy the parts from Mike and weld them up yourself.

He didn't stop making them. He only stopped taking new orders. Trust and believe he is working as hard as he can to catch back up so that he can take new orders. I believe he will stamp out parts for you to weld at home though may want to ask about that.
