Just wanna hear some input on what you guys think are the best tires that you have had. Been looking alot online and i just cant make up my mind. Looking for a good A/T or M/T that is awesome in the mud and will last long on pavement,

I've always ran BFGoodrich A/T TA KO's on my previous vehicles, almost 60k on my old set that is now on my moms truck. Still about 45-50% tread left and have never failed me
Running Hankook Dynapro AT on the trailblazer now, only been about a month but I've put quite a few offroad miles on them but mostly snow. No complaints so far though

Handled mud pretty well for us on the trails. Granted they don't compare to the TrailGrapplers we're running now for mud, but the TrailGrapplers are crap in the rain. All 'round the AT2s were the best tires we've run on either of our TBs.

I really like my Goodyear MT/Rs, but Kyle really like his Fierce Attitudes that he has and has performed well for him.

Got a budget? I just got the new model ProComp Xtreme MT2 in 33", and ran them on rocks and sand and pavement (no wet pavement yet) last weekend. Awesome, especially aired down. $300 ea. Pavement longevity for me is irrelevant since it's not my DD.

Not really a budget but im not really looking to spend 300/ tire. I was looking at the fierce attitudes but the AT2 are a lot cheaper.

What size tire you are considering 31, 32, 33, 34, 35 ?

Also, seems like A/T's typically last better on the road than straight M/T's. Since you said you're looking for something that will last a long time on the pavement I'd rule out the M/T's.

I can also second the General Grabbers. They were great tires, I didn't play to much in the mud with them, but I can tell you they were amazing on sand and rock.
Once lifted 03 Trailblazer on 35's, gave it up to travel the USA with my family.

In my size the Fierce were the cheaper.

I would have bought Pro Comp Xtreme MT is budget was not a concern. I loved mine. I am not disappointed with the fierce at all though. I would tell anyone to buy them.

I don't ever recommend ATs if someone thinks they might want MTs.
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.

Depending on your location the type of mud can determine what you need for the tires. For most of the mud I travel through the ATs are fine.

I have to put in a vote for the Toyo Open Country AT2. I think they are rated at 50k miles, have done well for me in the mud at our hunting lease and have good road manners. They are pretty quiet and handle wet/dry pavement well. I've not had them in snow or deep sand yet.

I think mine were about $750 for 4 265/75/16 in the 10 ply.

Never had a problem. I've wheeled on Drummond which has the nastiest mud I've seen, a clay type mud. Ran them full pressure and never had a problem. I've only gotten stuck due to lack of ground clearance. They've been wearing really good too. Looks like I could get and easy 45-50K out if them. They've been an awesome tire. If I had the 16" rim I would have gotten the 33s not the 32s. The 33s were 20 bucks more than what I paid for the 32s. But now I'm looking for a M/T... Would I go back and change my tires I picked. No. I just would have gotten 285/70/16 if I had 16s.

I just hit 50k on my second set of BFG KM1s with plenty of tread left (ran the others to 50k too before selling them)... you can get a really good deal on the 255/75/17 size if you can find someone with a jeep rubicon that is upgrading tire sizes. I got mine for around $120 per tire with only 4k miles on them. They are fine on dry pavement, do great in mud, work very well on dry dirt. Do ok in rain, good in deep snow, but kinda suck in real thin snow and ice. I've also found that they struggle to find traction on wet rocks sometimes. I think it's downfalls are mainly due to the lack of siping.

I have had similar experience as James but a different tire. I'm running the BFG A/T. 315/70/17 is also common ( but large) as it was stock on H2 and is currently stock on Raptors. My traction is similar to James but I'm not likely to do as well in mushy mud.

I have BFG M/Ts right now and they aren't wearing to bad had them for almost a year. I got them on trade with about half life.

i've got General Grabber AT2's and i'm pretty satisfied so far

-size: 255/70R16 (same size as previous set of Goodyears)
-they are way more quiet than I thought
-great in snow and dry pavement
-got them through tire buyer .com in 2 days for less than 3 other websites & stores

I think my next tire is going to be an A/T. It really depends on how much he will be off road, A/Ts will last much longer and are better on pavement. Duratracs are a good all around tire from reviews I read.
