Need more input.

Can't just tell you a blanket offset that works.

I know it was very vague of a question. I'm sorry for that. I was only looking for a generalized size... a starting point if you will. I would like to use as close to factory size rims as I can get, but don't want to use wheel spacers, and still be able to run at least a 255/75/17. I know there is not a blanket size that works for all. I did not see that thread or I just overlooked it. I just don't want to make a costly mistake and waste money on rims I can't use. I appreciate all the help.

Best way to avoid a mistake would be factory/factory spec rims with good spacers. IMO

Anything else has multiple variables that very few have tried

A 255/75/17 is a 32.. And will fit with a spacer and factory wheels.

But he does not want spacers so about 4.5 inch backspacing with any offset should work. Since that is basically spacer equivalent.

I would never tell anyone to keep our stock pattern but its his choice.

What's so bad about the stock pattern? Aside from it being so odd-ball?

it can be hard to find wheels in our pattern with enough offset to run the larger tires at a reasonable price.

The link (for us) goes to the beginning of a search. Perhaps you had a display at the end. When I punched in 2004 GMC Envoy, it showed zero options. I concluded it was a was a front end for a flawed data base, and that was your intent. To show the paucity of options out there.

I put the options in for my trailblazer and it gave me like 3 different options. :mechanic:
The problem with the Trailblazer is, people think you know what you're doing.
