15 inch rims

Need new shoes? This is the place to discuss.

I have been wanting a set for more sidewall and cheaper tire options and picked up a set that I thought might work cheap. I really have an odd desire to have an extra set of swampers, might be a waste, but its my money and time. I test fitted them and they will work. I need to measure backspacing and such, but they clear the calipers. 15x8 basic white wagon wheels

Good deal! Maybe some DIY beadlocks once you're rolling on the new setup, too :drool3:

HHHHMMMM....Not a bad idea at all. Need to do some research. Would be pretty sweet and cheap since i snagged these for 50 for the set.

Very cool man!!! Just a concern... you could have an issue if you wedge a rock in there while wheeling. I like the White!!!

Thought of that, but I know some jeep guys that actually grind their calipers to fit 15's and they have had no issues I have ever heard about.

The small backspacing on those rims may be why they worked. The rim gets narrower further in it appears (as most do). I know someone tried 15" rims a while back and actually did have interference.

I can't imagine you needing any more trimming, so these may end up fitting, if maybe with a smaller tire.

33's or 35's(since they usually actually measure closer to 34.? and will be aired down) if only for offroad. Gearing in low range should handle it ok. I dont mind cutting more fender. I would love to cut more and run a tube lip, but dont have a reason, yet.

The rims wouldnt fit if they were wider. I didnt think they would fit after i picked them up, but figured I would try them. I got lucky, I figured it would take a few tries to find some that would work.

I love that look on jeeps and would love to do something similar. I agree larger tires are almost a requirement to fill in the void, though. My fenders are barely holding on as is, the lower mounting location is going to raise the white flag one of these days :slap:

So the rims themselve were a 15x8 + 1.3 spacer/adapter, but did you ever figure out the actual backspacing of the rim? This obv would be a perfect snug fit so im just trying to figure out the math.

They measured 3.75 or 3-7/8 somewhere right about there. Basically just under 4 inches.
