So I heard a lot about it and decided I wanted a cheap mall crusier upgrade for kicks while waiting on my lift and new tires. So I gave it a try, What do you guys think?

Haha yeah yeah... I got them because I had serious problems with bulbs blowing out of the stocks. So went with the LED. I figured they weren't as "speed racer" as some of them

Wheels look great! I was going to do the samething soon. Just haven't had time. Not a fan of the taillights either, but with taillight guards it will make them look better. Good job so far man!

is ur CB mount drilled into the plastic bumper? is that 4ft antenna? if so, that seems like an awful lot of leverage against a plastic mounting.

I thought the samething, looks like the bracket needs to be bent up alittle bit. Or buy TL gaurds and mount it to them.

The mounting bracket sits under the taillight and the hole has enough "wiggle room" for the antenna not to even touch the plastic. even so, the strength of the steel bracket keeps from moving of the cable/ antenna that far down. Yeah it's a 4 foot. About to get a 6 firestick2 I think. Sure there is a whole in the bumper, but with the antenna never being removed it doesn't matter. Plus no mess with having to hide the cable

So to clarify, it is mounted directly into the plastic bumper cover?

Yes it is. I didn't see much of a problem with it because there isn't much stress on the mounting bracket involved. Still haven't experienced anything wrong with it for around a year and a half, but maybe there is need to worry?

I would think that the stress of that antennae waving back and forth would work the screw holes loose over time. If it has worked for you for a year and a half I guess I would leave it alone until it caused a problem.

My antenna was originally mounted into the sheet metal with sheet metal screws. That lasted about two years, but the screws began pulling out. I had to replace the screws with rivet nuts and bolts. If mine worked out of sheet metal, your plastic stands no chance.

Has the antenna ever hit a branch? That's where the real wear and tear occurs. If you take if off road, you're going to hit branches, and you're going to pull your mount out of your bumper.

I can't imagine it's very stable as is.

Its hit a couple, I do have nuts on the bottom of the bolts to keep from them turning. I probably won't look into relocating since within the next year I will be looking at getting a new rear bumper. Probably Mike's. Thanks for the forewarning though, It does make sense.

He is, He said he has someone that he is fabing for within the next 3 months. He said if all goes according to plan he should have a completed one and ready for more(possibly) within 6 months. Atleast, this is what he told me in emails. things could have changed since then
