Lift/Tire Size Chart

Need new shoes? This is the place to discuss.

by navigator » Tue Oct 25, 2011 1:51 pm

Tango, I don't see your build thread to add to the chart, can you PM me the link?
Monkey and Fuzz, I have updated the chart with your new tires.
I also split the chart into 2 parts, 15/16 inch wheels and 17+. James had already split out the folks with no builds.
Google docs doesn't like how big the chart was getting(to copy/paste) with it all in one chart so that is why I split them out.

Let me know if I flubbed anyone up.

Not sure if its just a treadwright thing or not but the 285/75/16 guard dog is a

Outer Diameter: 33.2”

No big deal though. Just seen you have listed 32.83"

thanks Chris, for the chart we are just posting the nominal size based on the math as all the tires run a little different in size. I think most folks realize that the Treadwrights run a little big.

Also, if I ever finish the build chart will have all the tire brands listed (if provided).

yup, my guarddogs 265/75/16 are 32.2, I've ended up doing a good little bit of trimming. It's starting to look like I may need to disconnect the front bumper corner supports and cut further back cause I keep rubbing them hard when backing on inclines at an angle.

I thought the slight trim I did was enough, but it wasn't.

Another update to my rubbing. I got it aligned after I replaced my tie rods a month ago, I now need sheet metal trim. It has rolled the top of my fender for me on both sides, and it is rubbing on the bottom rear of the fender pretty hard. Enough that I will definately be looking for an alterative mounting spot for the front bolt that holds the plastic rocker trim. It has rolled the tip of the fender already and will need to be cut back to stop the rubbing.

Hi guys, I put a set of P265/70R16 Kumho Road Venture SAT KL61s on my 02. They clear the UCA just fine, have about 1/4" of room. I do have a 3" MarkMc new style lift, but honestly they'd fit at stock height too. They are 30.6" in diameter according to Kumho.

They're still P-tires, not LT. Fine for my use which is mostly highway with snow in the winter months, more of an all-around AT tire than an aggressive off roading tire. At $570 shipped from TireRack, they were one of the cheapest options and are performing on-par with the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos that came off and about the same as the Revo 2s I have on 17s that I run on my SS in the winter.

Thanks Brandon, that info should go in your build thread if it isn't already there, that is where the real value is.
Erik, your size is borderline, a lot of guys can run them with no issues. Do you have a build thread? If so let me know and I can add you to the chart. You don't need to have a huge build to justify a thread, anyone might have done something that another user can gain info from even if you aren't at 6 inches of lift and 33 inch tires.
