Had to pull the fender due to rubbing issues. Its being cut to be able to fit, going to try to incorperate some flares in as well.

Why the measurements to the mirror, open hatch, and the open door? :poke:

Those tires stick out quite a bit... gonna need a lot of fender cutting to keep from rubbing, especially when turning. Wheels look sick, though.

Not to much actually, only going to shave off about 1.5". Im following the OEM lines over the top, then where the fender starts heading towards the rocker, just follow those same lines but wider.

Can you get a pic of the clearance between the caliper and the wheel? That's what really matters, after all...

Thanks,
Mike

How worn are your brakes?? With new pads, there will be less clearance there...

Makes mine look skinny.

I like it, but it will never be clean again. I am thinking of cutting a bit more or just cleaning up the line a bit so take some pics of what you remove please.

The rims, just barely clear, but they do and thats what counts. I still would like those sized tires on a 15x8.

FYI--Those rim edges will oxidize and the silver will flake off in under a year. My buddy went round and round with Pro Comp and they say that the chemicals and salt in snow void the warranty and cause it. His lasted 3 months of being babied before it started. they do look good, but Pro Comp is shit for rims and customer service. He found that out and I know they wont even respond to me about my under 1 year old rims having the coating peeling.

I love their tires, but the rims are sub-par. Hopefully you have better luck or just get enough rock rash to covered the peeling. That is my new goal.

The only reason i have these rims is cause they came with the tires. I found a good deal for these on craigslist and haggled it to an even better one. Tires still have the stubbies on them, and the pink and purple packaging/production line paint + all 4 rims mounted w/ balancing beads for 800 bucks, cant beat that. I still have my 15x8's as iv posted previously, i just wanted to get these on asap.

Yea Kyle, there is already this issue starting to occur with the lip on these rims, but just on the surface. A little rock rash wil clear that up nicely :coffee2:

Not sure exaclty how long im going to stick with these rims, they dont look too bad on my truck. Kinda upset that the kid had whitewall lettering out, but atually doesnt look too bad.

Barton, i have about 2k on these pads, if that. I changed them to ceramic just before my mishap and have only 1600miles on this new motor so its just over that. Even so, the pads will change the width of the caliper, not the height so the caliper wont get any closer to the rim. For some reason, the front overlap into the rim, however in the rear, the rim sits flush with the rotor.

Yea james, i cant wait to see how they preform. I previously had the KM2 but only had a 245/70r17 so these are significantly larger/wider. Iv read much better reviews with these tires in snow as compared to the KM2s so thts def a plus, well see how they perform overall though. I do notice that they are def louder than the KM2 but i also have to take into consideration the size difference.

Good! I know new pads won't make it farther away from the axis of rotation, but if your pads were about shot, and you put new ones in, it would slide the caliper out, and make the high spot move out. I can't tell from the pics how close that high portion really is, though...

That was a good deal. Run them that way and you can always sell the rims and switch the lettering later if you want.
