Metalcloak fender flares

Dumping ground for offroad Trailblazer or Envoy general discussion.

www.metalcloak.com has a concept for fender flares I never saw before, but is very interesting. In the same way you have tube fenders for Jeeps, they have these arched tubes on baseplates for fender flares! Could also bend tubes from our rock sliders to the bumpers like a mini-exoskeleton? What do you think?

I like it! Shouldn't be too difficult to fabricate either, from the looks of it, though I suspect you'd have to know ahead of time whether you'd want to tie them into sliders and bumpers as well. Will throw it on my list for tube bumpers, tube sliders, and now tube flares/exos

Tis' interesting. My buddy had a Jeep Rubicon with tube fenders that I've always thought were sweet lookin'. I wonder how it would look on a TVoy... and what about the rear doors, wouldn't that get tricky?

Nice find tho.

You'd have to have a split 2-piece tube flare. Could work if you attached the door section with a hinge to the rock sliders and got it all aligned properly.

I was gonna say, Bill doesn't exactly carry people in the back of the roadiemobile, but he needs to open one door to get to his fridge. Plus, it makes it a lot easier to organize if you can open the rear doors.

I think it's an awesome idea. Roadie, if you ever need a TB to test your designs on, let me know.

You can have my busted TCCM too. :thumright:

Love the idea. Will have to look into those. I wouldnt mind removing more front fender metal and replacing it with those. Taxes get filed soon and the return could help out....
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.
