Just be careful when its doubled over, because you are basically quadrupling its stiffness. AKA, it will still give, but only a 1/4 as much as it would whole.
Theoretically, it would be better to tie off one end if you only needed half its length, because then you'd only double its stiffness, but I doubt any of our skills enough not to recommend that route, unless you know how to tie a figure 9 knot in webbing. Still might be impossible to get undone after you pull on it a bunch.
