Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

It's been a bit

Dumping ground for offroad Trailblazer or Envoy general discussion.

So I haven't been on here in a while. Last time I was struggling with the warranty company on getting a new engine. That is long taken care of thankfully. I'm now in the market for a nice full steel bumper like the ones Mike (I believe his name is) with mdb fab makes. I've seen a couple post here about them. Was wondering if he still makes them or if anyone would want to sell me one. My tb is an 06 with no body lift and a 3" suspension lift by Mark.

Some small stuff. I keep having a problem with my front right away bar mount coming loose, started after I did some high speed mudding in a dry river bed out in az (I may have have gone a bit too hard) but yeah I tighten that suck up and about ten minutes after light rocks and bumps it starts rattling again!.

Still don't have a locking diff....
Haven't really needed one but this weekend it could have done some good as I was driving in some snow /ice and didn't realize I was on a frozen mud puddle until my rear drivers side broke through and I had to get pulled out by my buddies 2500 hd so yeah if there are any tips on getting a locking diff on my gu6 without spending an ass load that would surely help.

And finally it's time for new tires! I'm thinking of getting the 265/65/17 nitto terra grappler tires I'm sure they fit (I have a 3" lift) but has any had experience with these tires and no spacers? Any slight rubbing..etc I don't have my front bumper on so that should allow me to have more options

Again if anyone has something for sale that you think would help me than by all means let me know! I am in colorado springs still haven't found any other trailblazers here so hit me up if you are in the area (500 mile vicinity)

Mike only sells kits for you to weld up yourself now. He's not offering completed bumpers anymore.

I think there's only one active person here (Mike) running tires that small and with no change in backspace or spacers it comes down to the design of the tire.

Just lose the swaybar, you don't need it or its problems.

Yeah I found the "tactical armor group" bumpers and they look pretty good so I'll go with that option . As far as tires I'm going with 265 65 17 until I can afford 1.5" adapters and the 33" tires I want.

You're looking at getting a bumper but you don't have money for tires to actually get you more clearance?

There's quite a few of us that haven't had swaybars on in years.

I have money for tires but I'd like to get wheels tires and spacers all at once.. that adds up to a lot.. (government does not pay me enough to just throw money around )

TAG died. Shitty products and customer service. Kyle is at Blue Lake Offroad selling same crap after this 4th name change. Please don't support such a fraud.
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.

Damn so my only option is custom fab now? Lame.. I wish I had the time to go all out .. I guess I'll just leave my stock bumper without the bumper cover on.. but hey more money to lock both the diffs and get some 33's

Good luck finding a lock rite for the front, members have been having hard time find them in stock. Maybe navigator still had his for sale.

I am still a bit confused with what to do in the rear.. I have the gu6 and it's a 2006.. but from what I understand I can get a g80 2006 and newer and it should all bolt up right? And if I go with 33's for tires should it work well or do I need to change the gearing

That was pretty helpful thanks! I'm assuming the 4.10 ratio is what most people go with on here.. another dumb question how exactly do I change this?
