Hey guys so I wanted to see how much money people on here have spent making their tb an off road BEAST! Was it worth it? Did you get the right stuff in the long run? And did you get good results from what you did?
I just got an 06 tb and I'm ready to throw down money

I don't like to think about it... It's worth it, if you enjoy what you're doing

A few people have turbocharged them, but not anyone that's using their truck offroad as far as I know.
They put out plenty of usable power for offroading, boost isn't needed unless you just like spending money

Not real need for more power from the I6, It is already strong enough to break any other part of the drive line. We have this conversation every time someone ask about increasing power. If doing burnouts in a TB is your goal, GMTNation.com is the forum you would enjoy, we generally just try to get through or over stuff.

Dude are you freaking nuts?? I don't think any of these men or women that have built any of these incredible off road machines and daily drivers would ever say a D^*n thing about cost. I've spent some not nearly what it takes to have a build like Dirty Bacon or Moots and the others that have spent countless hours in the garage cussing and bleeding over these TB's to go and enjoy every inch of trail to have what they just spent hours on. Be destroyed buy the pure thrill of seeing if they can make it through this hole, over those rocks or up that hill. So my advise to you is use the search function research, chose what that works for you and your TB. Go for it Report back ask Questions and try the next best thing.

Really, just add up what a lift, tires, wheel adaptors, rock sliders, bumpers, skids, and whatever else you want costs, and you'll be there. We've had a couple people who "pogo" (lift then lower then stock then lift then stock then lift, etc.) who spend a whole bunch of money, and I know original adaptors of the platform have spent quite a bit on different iterations, but now that things are pretty established, it's not bad.

There is a rough country lift set for sale on Craig's list in my area for about 120$ 2" front and 3" rear. Has anyone had experience with these spacers? Should I just stick with the liftmeister ones instead?
