Ah ok, so you didn't actually use my file in your truck then. I could probably generate a file for you with certain equipment disabled as long as I knew what needed changed, but it sounds like you found a working solution anyway.

So if you have 3.73 gears, why are you planning on putting in 4.10s? I assume you plan on going for much larger tires, like 35's?

Im currently on a set of 265 70 R17,next I want to try a set of 33"s. Other than that I plan on pulling a trailer down the road. Plus a little extra power out of the hole would be nice. I don't see much traveling over 60 mph. I'm looking at the build thread currently to see if I can fit 33s with out a body lift. If I have to do a body lift then 35s may be on the build.

No need for a body lift with 33s, I ran them for a while with nothing but 3" in the suspension

Edit: you do have to shave off a little plastic around the edge of the wheel well trim and the plastic bumper cover, but that's it

I've done 95 across Nebraska with 30.6" tires and 4.10 gears... the truck ran perfectly fine, and I've made many trips down the interstate since then (usually not quite so fast). I honestly thought I would have more problems with my top end when I switched to 4.10s, but it's been one of the most useful all-around changes I have made. The only reason I asked was because I have seen others say that swapping 3.73s to 4.10s wasn't worth the effort, but it seems like everyone benefits from getting rid of the 3.42 gears.

I have been stock piling cardboard to fabricate a bumper or two. It will be my first real fabrication other then a little trimming and stuff. It seems the 4.2 likes to be up in the RPM for cruising.
