Hey everybody,
Not sure how many people have checked out trails.com, but they offer a free 14-day trial (and you can end it online) of their site, including 2 free trail guide downloads and unlimited topo map access while you're there. I figured it can't hurt to try it out, and figured I'd let everybody else know about it.

Just finished my trial, but there's some worthwhile information on there, especially the trail guides!
FWIW, I just use it now to find out the names of trails in my area and then google the names for more info.

I just ran into the site today searching for trails around here. I try to steer away from "trials" though, as they usually start spamming your mail/e-mail. Might have to give a try though just to see what's around.

I've got no spam from them... and I usually never use trials either, but the option to end the trial online, without calling up a number, sold me on it. I'm very pleased, but have to try some other options before I sign up for a subscription.
