Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

Some pics after my latest drive...

Dumping ground for offroad Trailblazer or Envoy general discussion.

Enjoy! I'd submit them for the front page, but they're on pavement, so I'm not sure if they're appropriate.

Went up a steeeep hill that I hadn't tried before, and the Stabilitrac actually DID help out with the brake pulsing, so it looks like I can put off my locker purchase a lot longer than I planned.

:thumright: Looks like a nice day for getting dirty. Too bad no rain. That would be a challenge. :thumleft:

Every time I'm in your area, I look off and see those side roads and trails and yearn to see where they might go but of course I'm not driving my truck. :wallbash:

Great area all around you for dirt and rocks and things. :safari:

Yeah I went out there and found a new road to try... best thing about the area is there's constant cell coverage, and it's kind of like a backyard, so I'm never worried about getting lost or unable to contact help. Got another hill to go up one day, but I'll need to deflate tires, and I'll need to get a compressor to re-inflate them afterwards... next item to get.

Yeah you really can't travel far in three directions without coming across a real road. :P

Yep unfortunately... However, I'm looking at negotiations with the University committee that manages the land and the fire department to help trailblaze some roads out there... Will require some work with shovels and machete, but should definitely be worth it. Just gotta watch out for rattlesnakes. :D

:thumright: Can you wait to do this work until after the next fire in that area? Much less brush to cut and should help somewhat with the snakes and spiders. :thumleft:

Oh god, I hope not. And there's wetlands out there, so dunno. I'm not worried about spiders though, just baby rattlers... they can't warn you they're there :finger:

What's that fluid sitting by the tire?
This is an aggressive post. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to be able to appreciate a post of this quality and depth.

Water from the AC system mixed with mud. It was a hot day.

Funny you should mention that... had to shoo a garter snake off the trail a few days ago.

OFF TOPIC: Seeing that snake was cool....his little rattler was trying to hard to sound intimidating!! haha! It just wasn't!

Looks good Phil!! I like you truck. That mud splatter on the one side of your truck looks like what I got from a guy who shall remain nameless (THANKS GUY, you know who you are!) at TECORE I back in April. haha! :flex dirty:
