Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

Spare Gas Can, type? and Where would you carry it?

Would rather eliminate or fix the problem than allow it to continue and work around it.

4WheelParts sells jerry cans now. $38 each. I lost one off the bed of my crawler onto the highway at 40mph and it didn't even dent. Went around a corner, it slid off the side hit the pavement and slid into a curb. Always check your tie downs before driving off.

The spouts are a little goofy but usable.

Dang, and it's CARB compliant. I was looking at cans on Amazon and it seems anything worth while isn't carb compliant and that means they can't ship it to PA.

This looks like a pretty decent can for the money. I'll make sure to bookmark the link.

Erik, those cans have a raised and exposed seam. They're supposed to be less desirable and feared to be more prone to damage than the cans with the recessed/flush seam. It also might affect whether the cans fit in a standard holder or not. Something to look into.

Those look an awful lot like the ones I have.
Once lifted 03 Trailblazer on 35's, gave it up to travel the USA with my family.

That a good buy but not sure about the exposed seam. Kyle do you think it could be an issue? MikeKey do yours have that? From your pictures it is hard to tell because of the shadows.

these are made to exceed NATO specs. They have the recessed seem. They're NOT CARB compliant so they can't ship them to a bunch of states. :(

GOOD EYE, my seams are not exposed like that, they're folded down and are smooth.

The ones dave posted look like the ones CheaperThanDirt sells

I'm glad Ohio isn't listed. I might get one.

I had one of the newer ones but I believe they're called USMC-style or GI-style, with the cap that is a few inches in diameter and is almost flush with the can (no neck). Hated it, hated the spout, ended up giving it to a friend before I moved to Ohio since I wasn't going to have room for it in the TB.
This is an aggressive post. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to be able to appreciate a post of this quality and depth.
