With clear skies and most of today off work, I decided to head out for a bit to play in the mud from the frozen ground melting... First time I've actually done anything with mud, or 4WD (owned a Thunderbird before the TB) so I didn't want to risk much. I apologize in advance for the non-dramatic photos, the spot I was making runs back and forth in was a little too muddy for me to get out in with crappy tennis shoes on. (Yeah, I'm a pussy. ) So, I moved it to a much less muddy-mess spot, snapped a few shots and went home. The major mud is on the passengers side. Maybe tomorrow morning I'll go play again... (Also forgive me if the photo doesn't show... Here's the link if it doesn't: http://www.pbase.com/image/122461415 )

POP! way to go, hows it feel? Maybe some lift and tires are in order? PS put this in the trip section next time someone might bust your balls about it.

Just bought a CAI on eBay today (Just to experiment, going to be making a round trip to California soon and will end up buying an AirRaid once out there probably.) On the next day I'm off work, I'll be making a trip to Advanced Auto to buy some pipes to get rid of that damned resonator... About the wrong board, I realized it about 25 seconds after posting it... I blame a 18 hour shift last night for lack of attention!

Personally... i enjoy buying used tires b/c they're a fraction of the price and if you don't like them there's almost no loss in resale, and getting another set won't set you back. I know alot of people like BGF A/T KO's which I run currently, but i used to run KM2's that were amazing in only a 31" which completely out perform these offroad. Personally the ideal set up wuld be buy one decent set for the daily driving that won't kill mileage and one set of all out mud tires on cheap steel rims, and swap only when they're necessary, with the price of a used set of mudders being 150 roughly with a good deal and a 2-3 mpg difference they may eventually pay off but you also don't have to deal with the road noise.

Yeah, but it's often hard to find a full set of used tires around here. I mostly relegate used tires to the role of spare tires. If you're going to the trouble of mounting tires, might as well make sure you'll keep them on for at least 40k miles or so.

Well you have to find a shop that likes you and lets you mount tires on the cheap... and most junkyards or any car guys have extra sets, just scavenge cl.

Once I get new tires, (the ones now are brand new unfortunately, they were replaced at the dealership in January when I bought it) I wouldn't mind going to a meet and being the photographer... I liked the calendar for this year! Well, off to work for another crappy night on a train... My four day weekend starts once I get off that thing...
