Saturday afternoon, all my off road buddies were tied up with other things, but I HAD to get out for a while, so I did a solo run up Lost Creek Forest Service Road (FSR). At my age, I'm a little wary of solo backroad adventures, so I have to use extra caution to stay out of trouble that I can't get out of on my own, and that limits what I can tackle in the way of washouts, mud, and water crossings. I still managed to explore most of the disused branches to the end of reasonable travel in the TB.
I spent about 5 hours pushing through some very overgrown trails, tearing the crap out of my paint job, and scraping the running boards a few times, even with my 2.5" lift and 2"taller tires. The weather was great, the scenery refreshed my soul, as I knew it would, and I had a great day out there exploring those old roads. Some shots from the trail are below:
