I had a great day today with my son and my girl friend.

It was a sonny day and I'd just installed my 88 spring and lower tab.
It didn't still have time to align it yet.

After the trip I heard something bad in front of my rig (passenger side).
When I use my brake on a rugged road I heard a metal noise very loud like if something is broke. ( It doesn't happen all the time)
I remove the wheel and I didn't seen anything wrong.

Does someone have a idea what is my problem?

Very fun looking trip!
Check your brake pads and the inside of the rotor for scoring like this. Last TECORE I did newbie mistake and didn't check my pads. Knew from state inspection that they were low. Need less to say I changed out my front rotors and pads on the trail. :;

My brake rotors and pads are "adaptative" from NAPA and have only one year old. So I didn't think it could be that. And I know what kind of noise come from this scoring.
Today the noise was very loud. If my shock was broken it could be this kind of noise. (but they are fine)
Maybe I should record the noise. It's very difficult to describe the noise.

Looks like a sweet trail Marc!

So when you say its a metal noise, its more like a clunk, and not a screech?

Yes James, its more like a clunk. I read a topic on it. Maybe I broke my shock. Tomorrow I'll try to look at it. I just install the 88 spring so the travel of the shock is maybe too short.

Very hard to diagnose without hearing it. A broken shock is normally a very visible failure. Is there anything else common about when it makes the noise? Braking and rough road? Only when the suspension is cycling down? up?

The noise isn't always there. So it difficult to diagnose. It's often when I brake on a rough road.
When I drive down of a hill the sound is very loud.

I removed the strut assy this morning and I didn't see something wrong.
But I find that I had the tre failures.
My wheels move a lot but I not sure if the noise can be from this failures.

Someone have a idea?
