Glad to hear everyone had a good time, sorry I missed it. It was not a total bust for me, learned alot of useful information and had a unique experience.
Compared my gps history to google maps and found I was less than 20 miles from meeting location, this was what the gps was telling me on the trail. From the view on Google earth I found the place I had to stop(45.807294, -70.048893), you can see the boulders and logs blocking the trail, looks like it would have been easy after that point if I could have got past the trail blockage, but it was too much.
I stopped in Skowkegan Tuesday night, my gps routed me up 201 instead of 150 to 15, it thought the trail was still in use.
Lesson 1 - Plan every step of your trip from the door of your house back to it, I relied on the GPS unit to get me to the starting location, my mistake, took getting to GO! for granted, Had I mapped out my whole trip I wouldn't have followed GPS into dead end trail.
Lesson 2 - larger tires and a lift will not make my trailer trail worthy, the torsion axle sucks, will reconsider trailer suspension.
Lesson 3 - triple check your equipment, I forgot my strap and was very lucky my winch reached the trees I needed to pull myself out and get turned around.
I haven't had this jeep long but am happy I bought it, while I love my Trailblazer and it has amazed me many times, it would not have made it out, in with how it is set up, front/rear lockers and the winch are the only reason I was able to get myself out.
When I messaged my wife I was coming home she called me about scared to death, she's never seen me back off, even after major setbacks, I've taken some dumb risks before and always came out lucky, this just didn't feel like one of them.
Damage
Jeep - Ripped off one of the Windshield bumps on the hood, the rear driver side fender flare, the gas cap(no damage to the fill spout!), dinged up my armor and bumpers, new pin-stripping!
Trailer - Bent trailer jack, fubar the fenders, ripped off one rear stabilizer jack and damaged the other, damaged the wiring but not bad, a little trim/body damage on the rear bottom corner, pin-stripping as well!
Nothing that can't be replaced, scared my dog a little though.
First stop off the trail, to fix the trailer lights. You can see the wires hanging.
Had to use some paracord after my straps broke. Driver side fender had to be screwed back on too, hanging on by one screw and rubbing tire.
Bent jack, I thought about a swing up jack but found a jack that goes in the stock location and is pulled up flush with a pin.
No trail pics, but I stopped at a overlook on my way home.
If my wife will let me I'll come back next year and do this the right way.
