Sucks to hear you had to cancel, but I know how you feel, the teardrop camper has made the trips I can take it on less exhausting. With little to no setup it is a lifesaver. Breakdowns will crush your soul, It happened with the TB and has happened with the Jeep, I should have just fixed the TB instead of getting the Jeep, I love it and what it does but I've dropped almost $8K is repairs in 5 months, could have the TB on 44" tires and a 6.0L V8 under the hood with the $$$ I've spent on the Heep. If you need a short trip to have some fun come the Rendezvous next month Uwharrie is a blast and the people fun the hang out with!

I'm shocked to hear how much you've had to spend on the Jeep! I wouldn't have expected that.
The TB Gods teamed up with the Fugawi birds and cursed your Jeep for your betrayal. :zombie:

Sorry to hear, but well done on making the decision best for you and your situation. Hope you can get some good trips in the future.

--Might consider some trips to see some members. Such as coming up thru TN-KY-IN-MI. Prolly find someone to see in each state and likely get some boots on the ground knowledge and maybe places to set up shop. I know our land would be open to you visiting and in range of several wheeling places and other members to meet/see. Could do East Coast, Midwest, Southwest trips or something.

I'm always open to take someone through Land Between the Lakes in KY. Heck, we still haven't had a chance to cover all of it ourselves.

Darn, DirtyBacon04, I guess we won't be doing the Whipsaw trail together for a while yet, eh?

Your trip would have been epic to follow on the forum, but you have to go with what feels right for you, and I wish you all the best in your future, young man, where ever it takes you.

Bacon, you sorry excuse for a man!

However, your choice does seem much more realistic. Good luck with it all.

Your first trip has to be Utah. No place like it that I've seen.

Utah it is :)

I'm sorry to let you down, James. :slap: I'm just glad i made this realization before I gave up a job that I love with an agency that has treated me so well. Whats interesting is I'm not sad about it. I'm actually really excited about my decision. Now I get to plant some roots, buy a big garage with a bedroom/kitchen attached, have a home base to deploy from, etc.
