We own 255 acres in SE Indiana that has about 240 acres of woods and trails so I decided it was about time to go get a little mud on the tires. It had rained 3 inches in the few days before I went, so I skipped alot of the tougher stuff, but still got eaten by IN clay that wouldnt clean out and ended needing the tractor to stay off a tree and get up the little hill. Over all the fall leaves were awesome and had some fun. Cant wait to get back out there will a friend for JIC.

Looks like a good one for the stuck thread. :poke:

Did you try any sort of passive recovery methods first like putting some logs down? Probably not considering you had a tractor nearby.

Nope, just called in the tractor, but I did get my Hi-Lift back and my sliders on so those methods will be easier to use in the future.

Does this count as TRAIL? The way it is set-up is more like an offroad park than an actual farm and that is what we use it for. Atvs, trucks, and jeeps offroading. It is free to go to, has lots of trails, you would be tough pressed to do them all in a day. Needs to have some trail maintenence done to widen a few spots and take out some fallen trees to open up more again. The neighboring Haspin Acres Offroad Park http://www.haspinacres.com/about.php is under 10 miles away and I have had several people tell this is better than there for trail riding.

I know it is almost my backyard, but do I get penalized for being lucky enough to have my father own this slice of heaven? I guess I should have got some pics of the couple little creek crossings, the rock bed hill, and stuff, but to me they are normal and I wanted pics of my truck. You can see one of the nicer groomed trails in the pic through my windshield. Pine trees on both sides and 6 inch deep ruts and watery mud filling the ruts. Seems like a decent trail to me. I have seen a couple vehicles need a little pull through.

Not wanting to start shit, but asking a serious question. I think it is more of a TRAIL than sandy desert roads or dirt roads in state parks. They all have there place and I like them all, well been on beaches, but not desert(I want to though).

Yep, the guidelines of the ratings were worded specifically to penalize you.

No... it was worded so when some kid drives his truck through a mud pit in his yard and posts a pic, we can say "try again".

Looks awesome! I wish I had a farm. :) I'd have a blast doing a ride like that. Heck that many acres you could go out far and do an overnight camp, eh?

I think this summer I should be able to go east, but its gonna be a while to head west. Weddings are expensive and time-consuming, but I think I got a good one. She never says anything negative about what I do with my truck. I think it would be cool to go to Canada and meet some members as well.

:dj: I know I am special, I got a helmet to prove it. :excited: You can't penalize me for being awesome :raspberry:

I got two good tent sites, one by the pond on a kinda pennisula and one way back in the back. The farm was pieced together and is not anywhere near square. I would drive back to the back one and setup shop for 2 or 3 days and no one knew where I was. I love it. Especially camping in winter when you get a couple warm days, but snow is still around.
